Could this be the next Mazda2?

Next to the Mazda3 and Mazda6, the 2 is starting to look dated. The Mazda Hazumi, which made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, might provide hints as to the automaker's design direction for the upcoming 2.
Mazda has revealed its Hazumi concept at the Geneva Motorshow, though the automaker hasn't admitted that this new concept is the preview of what the upcoming Mazda2 might be like, it has been widely regarded by motoring journalists to be the case.
The current 2 has been on the market for quite a while and when placed next to the super cool 6 and the recently launched 3, is starting to look dated. The Mazda2 is built on the DE platform shared with the 2008 Ford Fiesta and comes fitted with 1.5-litre normally aspirated engine delivering acceptable levels of power.
That's right, back then Ford had a stake in Mazda. Both automakers shared technologies and platforms to build each others portfolio especially in emerging Asian markets. For decades, many of our Ford vehicles in Malaysia were rebadged and restyled Mazdas. The slew of Telstars and Lasers that were introduced in our markets were variants of the 626 and 323s of their eras.
Now that the Blue Oval and Mazda have parted ways, we are starting to see each bringing something vastly different to the table. Other than its Kodo-designed styling and its futuristic looking HUD, little is known about the Hazumi. The company hasn't divulged what powerplant or underpinnings will be used, which has left a lot of  room for speculation on whether this will be our next 2.
The Hazumi resembles other current vehicles such as the 6  closely. What that means is that this could be the next 2 but should it be?
